Farm to Table Series Re-envisioned

The impact of COVID-19 has required new thinking on many fronts in business and the community. This season Wolfe’s Neck Farm made the difficult decision to cancel their 2020 Farm to Table Series, and then went on to transform the dinner series to focus on food insecurity. Teaming up with Cooking for Community, along with Preble Street, Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program and Freeport Community Services, Wolfe’s Neck is directing the food, staff time, communications and logistics that go into their Farm to Events to support the efforts in feeding people.

Working with the restaurants that would have come out to the Farm to create these monthly dinners, Wolfe’s Neck is now providing the meat and produce to them directly to prepare 150 healthy, nutritious meals. These meals will be provided to Preble Street to be distributed to those experiencing hunger in our community.

Read more about the re-envisioned series and about the first ‘dinner’ of the season, guided by the talents of Executive Chef Josh Berry of UNION. Next up is in September is Gather to be followed by Chaval in October.
