Nura Joins our Community and Gives Back!
We are excited Nura has joined our effort, serving Middle Eastern cuisine and already providing almost 300 meals last week to My Place Teen Center. Working with Cooking for Community is particularly meaningful to owners and brothers Cameron and Dylan Gardener, having grown up in a family of six in a very low-income area of Maine. They often received services like those offered by our partner agencies until the falafel business their parents started raised them out of poverty.
“My brother and I are especially grateful for the help that Cooking for Community has given us,” says Cameron. “In just a few short weeks it has assisted us in being able to hire back all of our furloughed staff.”
